Have you ever tried conference calling with power point presentations?

I was part of an experiment using MeetMe a conference call facility provided by BT (UK provider). The telephone charges were free to participants but there were conference charges which I don’t know about. I think that Skype may provide the same sort of facility.

We used Slideshare software which hosts your power point presentation to enable everyone to follow it – you just have to give participants the URL provided by Slidshare. It helped speakers make their point even if only one or two slides were used.

Is anyone out there willing to try it? Or have you used different free software? Could it be used for distance training?
