Two new resources for free or open access books

I have added two new sources of free or open access books on Phi’s “Selected Health Information Resources for Africa” Netvibes site.

  1. The Directory of Open Access Books [DOAB] initiated by OAPEN Foundation currently holds 756 Academic peer-reviewed books from 22 publishers. There are a few on biomedicine. (Thanks to Dr Shamprasad M. Pujar, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, for alerting me to this.)
  2. Free publications on the important subject of Early Childhood Development are available from a recognised authority in this area – the Bernard van Leer Foundation.
