Reference Databases

The question has been asked on Linkedin as to the suitability of certain reference databases for an African urban public library.

eGranary Digital Library ( also known as ” Internet in a Box ” )

Credo Reference

Gale Virtual Reference Library

Oxford Reference Online

Sage Knowlege

As far as I can see none of these are free, except possibly Credo Reference to which you may have access by joining a library near you.

Has anyone reading this blog used any of these ? If so, what is your opinion ? Valuable resource ? Value for money ? Your comments, please.
