e-Learning for Health Information Professionals in Uganda

As part of the continued partnership between health libraries located in London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex and the Sir Albert Cooke Medical Library, Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, a two day eLearing workshop is being delivered in Uganda on Wednesday 31st October and Thursday 1st November, 2012. Participants will include Ug-AHILA members, Makerere University Library staff and others. The workshop is funded by the Elsevier Foundation and will be delivered by two UK based librarians, Marisa Martinez Ortiz ( Knowledge, Skills and Systems Librarian at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust ) and Potenza Atiogbe ( Library Services Manager at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust ).

The main objectives of the workshop are for all attendees to be able to identify correctly the six stages to developing an eLearning module as per the TAP method and also produce storyboards for an interactive eLearning module using basic tools such as Powerpoint.
