14th Biennial Congress of the Association for Health Information and Libraries in Africa

The 14th Congress of AHILA/ AIBSA will take place in 2014 at Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania from 20th -24th October, 2014. The main theme is on:

ICTs, Access to Health Information and Knowledge: building strong knowledge societies for sustainable development in Africa The sub-themes are:

  • ICT’s and health information and knowledge management systems for  sustainable development
  • Health information literacy and information behaviour
  • Social media networking and dissemination of health information and knowledge: its contribution to creating knowledge societies
  • Capacity building of Health Information Professionals: the role of LIS education in AfricaCapacity building of Health Information Professionals: the role of LIS education in Africa

The deadline for abstracts (maximum 500 words in English) is 1st March 2014

The Congress will incorporate the 2nd HIFA International Conference (Healthcare Information For All, HIFA.org)
