South African Library Week 15-22 March 2014

LIASA ( Library and Information Association of South Africa ) is organising South African Library Week 15-22 March 2014.

Details are on its website.

It will, among many other things, celebrate the role of libraries in 20 years of democracy in South Africa and highlight how libraries are making the right of freedom of access to information, as enshrined in the Bill of Rights, a reality.

Librarians’ choice of the top 20 South African books will be launched during the week.
