What’s new ? – at the EAHIL Conference, Rome, 2014

Technology, support for researchers, health information for the public, ethics … In the following posts I will describe just a few of the presentations which I hope will interest you. So here goes with no. 1.

JOVE – you will find this under it’s full title Journal of Visualized Experiments in HINARI. What is new about it is that it contains videos as well as text which demonstrate:

  • General laboratory techniques, e.g. light microscopy
  • Basic methods of cellular and molecular biology, e.g. using a haematometer to count cells
  • Model organisms 1, e.g. Drosophila maintenance and care
  • Model organizms 2, e.g. Basic mouse care and maintenance
Looks to me like an excellent teaching tool for laboratory technicians, but look at it for yourselves.
