5 Ways Wikipedia’s Health Information is Improving

James Hellman explains why Wikipedia’s health-related content is being improved.

” With Wikipedia’s health care pages receiving nearly 5 billion views in 2013 it is one of the most used global sources of health care information. However, its content is not always of consistently high quality. Why is this and how can it be improved ? At Wiki Project Med Foundation we do not try to convince people to use Wikipedia, we try to convince them to improve it. We feel it is important to improve Wikipedia as, for better or for worse, it is what the world is reading and reading to an amazing extent”.

My thanks to Cheryl Twomey of Phi for spotting this in CILIP’s blog.
