Health Information Resources

Selected Health Information Resources for Africa produced by Phi has recently been updated and rearranged by topic. A short description of each organization/ database is given and they are arranged: –

  • Journals and journal articles (finding free articles, open access journals, African journals);
  • Books, AV and training materials;
  • Health organizations & forums;
  • Evidence based health care; computers/ internet access.

The above is complemented by the AIHA Internet Resources Digest which has provided information about free Internet resources on health care, evidence-based practice, social work, and general Internet tools since 2001.

For instance, the recent digest on Patient Safety provides quotations from recent publications from relevant institutions, training resources, and journals concerned with patient safety.

It is supported by the American Health Alliances’ Knowledge Management programme.

Thanks to HIFA and Irina Ibraghimova for this information.
